About Default Configuration Scripts

You can use configuration files to perform specific EX Controller configurations for the selected gateway server on the EX Controller Web GUI. This speeds up the configuration process and ensures that correct settings are applied for the selected gateway server.

NOTE: This programming topic is applicable only to EX Controller.

Default Configuration Files

The required configuration settings to perform the configuration are saved in the Default Configuration Files of Gateway Configuration Scripts form. The Gateway Configuration scripts hosts the default configuration files which can be used to perform different configurations on the EX Controller Web GUI. A tooltip that appears when you point to the configuration file describes what the configuration file does.

You can execute the configuration files or export them to a specified location. The current configuration details of the trunk endpoint is saved in the script file when you export a configuration script to a specified location. You can also import configuration files from a specified location.

Example

To use the default configuration file to configure FXO trunks that use loaded coils, follow these steps (see also Execute Gateway Configuration Scripts):

  1. From the Default configuration files drop-down list, select mitel_loaded_fxo_coils.cfg.

  2. Click Execute.
The system displays a warning message that the operation may cause the system to reset.

  3. Click OK to continue.
The operation may take some time to complete. When the operation completes, the FXO trunks using loaded coils will be configured for the selected gateway server.
